  • We will identify alternatives to make products or menu items lower in fat, sodium, etc.
* Print ready nutrition labels- You can send the labels to a printer to get printed on your packaged food items.

On the following pages you will find a sample of a restaurant or supplier that we have analyzed. Examples of each bullet point above are included. All nutrition information may also be sent to you via e-mail to add on your website.

You may be asking yourself, “Why would I want my establishment to be nutritionally analyzed?” As part of TNT Wellness Group’s ongoing efforts to educate the public at large as well as restaurants serving the public I’d like to personally point out some information that impacts eating establishments and the suppliers who provide for them:

  • More than 2/3 or 84% of the public in a recent poll by the California Center for Public Health Advocacy want nutrition facts of menu items on websites, menus and menu boards.

  • Nearly 3 out of 4 Americans are trying to pick healthier options at restaurants.

  • Recently, the New York City Board of Health has required restaurant chains of 10 or more to put calorie counts on menu boards starting July 1, 2007. This will help New Yorkers be aware of healthier choices and look out for their children.

  • Closer to home, Governor Schwarzenegger recently vetoed the menu labeling legislation in California and since it’s not mandated, it will give the restaurants that do (including small business restaurants), the added competitive edge that other restaurants that don’t participate won’t have. Food establishments can even offer diabetic choices, heart healthy, low sodium, etc.

  • Food establishments with nutrition facts have an added edge over others that don’t include nutrition facts. By having professional nutrition labeling at your establishment it adds credibility to the menu items.

  • Nutrition analysis for menus may be an eye opening experience to look for healthier substitutes in ingredients and food preparation.
