How I Learned to Stop Worrying

So you're thinking - Fight the baby - why would he want to fight the baby? I don't get it.
Well then, chances are you are not a fun person.
Seriously though, for other parents out there at least admit to yourself you understand what I mean. You don't have to say it out loud. Just nod knowingly. Wishing that someone had prepped you for all that lay ahead.
In my case, I know I have to start getting up earlier. And honestly, that probably means a lot of not going to sleep to begin with. I don't want to be that guy who is all like, "sweetheart, I have to work in the morning and you're the one with the food source." I mean, I will don't get me wrong. I just don't think I need to do that for very long.
Basically, I'm trying to get in shape for a very, very, very long time. I know we all set goals for this sort of thing. For instance, beach and bikini body, reunions where you want to impress etc, etc. This goal is slightly different in as much as it is ongoing and never ends. At least until I drop dead.
So you see, you have to be ready to fight the baby.
It's going to take all of your physical strength, all of your mental acuity, everything you have just to keep up. Because, let's face it, I'm no spring chicken any longer. I'm not out of the game, I just need to start training like Rocky did for Drago.
The baby doesn't know I'm getting ready for her. But she'll see soon enough when daddy is able to keep up with her for hours. Oh, she'll see right quick.
So what am I doing? I'm eating right. Drinking plenty of water. Cardio. A little climbing training. And Burpees (check them out here [1]). Lot's of em.
This week I'm starting on a descending set of 15. That means, 15, 14, 13 . . .all the way down to a set of one. Again, whatever works for you.
All I can tell you . . . I'm ready. I think.
